After Braden and I’s successful podcast with Jim, I had an opportunity to follow up with him just in case we needed more information.
When Braden first brought up doing a podcast around finances, I was both excited and worried. The opportunity to meet and interview someone so knowledgeable on the subject was a rare opportunity. I learned so many things and am taking his advice to heart.
I was nervous to do a podcast on a subject I knew so little about. Although talking about finances can be a taboo subject, I think Jim is so right in saying that finding a mentor or someone who you can speak openly about it with is invaluable.
After hanging up with him for a second time, I had to do further research on what kind of investments that he was referencing. Some of the advice he gave on both calls, were things that I have heard growing up. But some of it was completely unfamiliar territory.
For the purposes of our assignment, I am glad to have the opportunity to create a podcast. I have never used Spotify Podcast (or Anchor) before, and I did not realize how easy of a platform it is to use. I am starting to understand why everyone and their mom are making one!
Given the opportunity, I would definitely make a podcast episode again. And if inspiration ever really struck, I would consider making a whole series. What can I say, I’m a talker!
